"Dear Sue, Thanks to you, I had the most wonderful day and fell in love with Charleston! What a truly wonderful City! Love everything about it. Made our way to Hominy Grill, tried (and enjoyed) everything you suggested and had a wonderful meal. We toured the Nathaniel Russell House . . . and enjoyed a nice dinner at Magnolias. All in all it was a wonderful time with my girls and touring with you.  Brought your cards home with me to share with anyone I hear of going to Charleston!  Hope to get back to Charleston one day!"

"Thank you so much for providing us a wonderful tour of Charleston on Saturday. It was the highlight of our trip to South Carolina. You did such a marvelous job of capturing for us the essence of Charleston's grand history and beauty. The dignity of the city is profound, and we are privileged to have had such a wonderful view of it through your perspective and obvious love for your community."

“Dawn and I just wanted to take a moment after returning from Charleston to write you a quick note and tell you what a wonderful time we had on your tour last Saturday! Your energy and enthusiasm for telling the wonderful history of the city made your tour the most enjoyable of all those we did while in Charleston! On our last day we walked the historic district re-counting many of the stories that you told and we were amazed at how much knowledge you have, how much you shared, and how much we remembered! We have been to many cities and historic areas from the New Orleans, to Williamsburg, to New-port, and your tour was one of, if not THE, best that we have ever experienced."

Hi there, Sue!
We have arrived back to Township to dreary, cold, and rainy weather, but home is nice. Thank you so very much for the wonderful and entertaining tour. Now I find myself wanting to talk like a "Southerner" and I hear your voice! I also picture your wonderful hat (don't ever not wear it...it makes the tour so much more real! and you look absolutely adorable in it!), and the beautiful weather and the lovely homes and streets that we saw, all come back to me! I believe in my soul that I should have been born a "Southern Belle" (with money, of course!) My husband and I did go back in town for supper, although I don't know if I could eat shrimp and grits on a regular basis...too much and too filling! We also were able to go back to the churchyard and we found some stones that had actual poems on them! Seeing the ages of the people was very interesting, too. When we come back to Charleston, we’ll call you again for another tour and lunch. I'll be hearing your voice and seeing you in your hat for many, many days to come, and for that I truly thank you!
Yours truly (and I say that with a southern drawl),
Ann – Michigan – November 2010
Hello, Sue -
"...You were the best docent I heard in the sixteen homes I visited . . . you're a gifted professional. Your website is delightful…. I'll be in contact . . .(since my mother attended Sue Bennett College (KY), it will be easy for me to remember your name!)"

" . . . what a wealth of knowledge you are! We all enjoyed the tour and my wife and her sister are talking to others about your tour up here. (There might be no better advertising than impressing two ladies with lots of friends!)"

"We had a ball. It was great to be shown around by a person who so obviously loves her city and its history. My mom's first visit turned out to be fabulous, and you were a big part of that."
