Our 150th Civil War programs are designed to accommodate private groups for an exclusive Charleston Civil War experience. Hear about the War for Southern Independence where it actually began! Understand our Nation's most controversial history in the setting of antebellum homes, fortifications and other sites that actually witnessed secession, the first shots and the longest siege of the war.

Whether expert or novice, our presentations will enlighten you about antebellum-era politics, the institution of slavery, the road to the first shots and the war's longest siege.

Join historian and author Michael Coker for a special 90-minute boat tour of Charleston’s harbor as he leads an intimate discussion of the events leading up to the War, the battles for Fort Sumter, and the War’s longest siege (1863-1865).
